Softball Game Preview: Dunkerton Raiders vs. Colo-NESCO Royals

The Dunkerton Raiders will face off against the Colo-NESCO Royals at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither Dunkerton nor Colo-NESCO posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Dunkerton fell victim to GMG and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They fell just short of the Wolverines by a score of 1-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Raiders in their meetings with the Wolverines: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, Colo-NESCO was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against AGWSR, falling 12-2.

Dunkerton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Colo-NESCO, their loss dropped their record down to 3-12.

Dunkerton was able to grind out a solid win over Colo-NESCO in their previous matchup back in June of 2024, winning 13-8. Will the Raiders repeat their success, or do the Royals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
