Basketball Game Preview: Archbishop Ryan Raiders and Ragdolls vs. Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast Catholic Friars/Pandas

The Archbishop Ryan Raiders and Ragdolls will head out to square off against the Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast Catholic Friars/Pandas at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Archbishop Ryan has now lost nine straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 13.

Last Thursday, Archbishop Ryan had to suffer through a 78-27 loss at the hands of Neumann-Goretti. While losing is never fun, the Raiders and Ragdolls can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 453rd, while the Saints are ranked sixth).

Meanwhile, Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast Catholic lost 62-37 to Lansdale Catholic on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Friars/Pandas in their matchups with the Crusaders: they've now lost five in a row.

Archbishop Ryan's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.

Archbishop Ryan came up short against Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast Catholic in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 44-40. Can Archbishop Ryan avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
