On Thursday, Penn Wood needed a bit of extra time to put away Academy Park. They skirted past the Knights 54-52.

Meanwhile, Sacred Heart Academy suffered their biggest defeat since January 9, 2024 on Tuesday. They came up short against Gwynedd Mercy Academy, falling 51-28. The loss continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Monarchs: they've now lost nine in a row.

Sacred Heart Academy's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-3. As for Penn Wood, their win bumped their record up to 8-9.

Penn Wood came up short against Sacred Heart Academy in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, falling 54-50. Can Penn Wood avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
