Recap: Chino Cowboys vs. Ontario Jaguars
Make it 13 blowout wins for the Chino Cowboys this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Ontario 73-26 on the road. The win was familiar territory for Chino who now have 14 in a row.
Leading Chino to victory were Lyndsey Valverde and Tess Oldenburg. Valverde scored 17 points along with seven steals and six assists, while Oldenburg scored 25 points along with eight steals and seven rebounds. Oldenburg is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted three or more in the last 12 games she's played. London Gibbs was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Chino's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.2 points per game. As for Ontario, their loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-7.
Chino will take on the Braves at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Baldwin Park comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last 11 games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Ontario, they will head out on the road to challenge the Conquistadores at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Don Lugo focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Tuesday.
