Five must be Douglas County West's lucky number: they beat Bishop Neumann with that score not once but twice on Thursday. The Falcon beat the Cavaliers by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 5-2. The win was nothing new for the Falcon as they're now sitting on three straight.

Lillee Zach spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on eight hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Bella Zach, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. That's the most doubles she has posted over her last 11 games. Another player making a difference was Peyton White, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.

Douglas County West's victory bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Bishop Neumann, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-5 record this season.
