Softball Recap: Morse Tigers vs. Tri-City Christian Eagles
With a playoff win on the line, Morse rose to the challenge on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 win over the Tri-City Christian Eagles. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Alyssa Truby made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched 6.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Thaliamia Richards, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Abby Okita was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
