Baseball Recap: North Murray Comes Up Short

North Murray was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 15-1 to the LaFayette Ramblers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mountaineers of the 12-9 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2023.

North Murray saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyler Bailey, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

North Murray's loss dropped their record down to 4-21. As for LaFayette, the victory snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 13-14 record.

North Murray didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 5-4 win against Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe on the 15th. As for LaFayette, they will face off against Trion at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
