Softball Recap: Thomas Jefferson Academy's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Thomas Jefferson Academy came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Brentwood War Eagles, falling 17-6. The loss continues a trend for the Jaguars in their meetings with the War Eagles: they've now lost three in a row.

Having lost for the first time this season, Thomas Jefferson Academy fell to 2-1. As for Brentwood, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-0.

Looking ahead, Thomas Jefferson Academy will face off against Briarwood Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Brentwood, they will take on Johnson County in a tournament on Saturday. The Trojans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.8 runs per game on average), something the War Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of.
