Football Recap: Osawatomie Comes Up Short

The matchup between Osawatomie and Iola on Friday hardly resembled the 7-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Trojans were outmatched by the Mustangs and fell 47-20. The Trojans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-0.

Although Osawatomie took the loss, they still got scores from Ben Fields, Dodge Browning, and Rogan Lewis.

Osawatomie's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Iola, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.

As for Iola, they will venture away from home to challenge Burlington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
