Softball Recap: Antlers Starts off Right with Win over Clayton

Antlers gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They never let the Clayton Bulldogs get on the board and left with a 16-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Bearcats in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won four in a row.

Antlers got a massive performance out of S Hill, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was R Arpealer, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Clayton is on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Antlers will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Howe at 1:30 p.m. on the 23rd. As for Clayton, they will take on Smithville at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
