Basketball Game Preview: Blackhawk Cougars vs. Central Valley Warriors

Blackhawk is a perfect 10-0 against Central Valley since February of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Cougars will look to defend their home court against the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Blackhawk has 16 straight victories, Central Valley has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Thursday, Blackhawk humbled Hopewell with a 62-29 victory. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 22 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Aubree Hupp, who almost dropped a double-double with 26 points and nine boards. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last 25 games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Gracen Sehn, who posted ten points along with seven steals and six boards.

Blackhawk smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 18 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Central Valley came up short against Lincoln Park Performing Arts on Monday and fell 52-44.

Blackhawk's win bumped their record up to 16-0. As for Central Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.

Everything came up roses for Blackhawk against Central Valley when the teams last played back in December of 2025, as the team secured a 65-21 victory. In that matchup, the Cougars amassed a halftime lead of 49-12, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Monday.
