Brentwood dropped their record down to 12-12 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's six-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the John Milledge Academy Trojans by a score of 10-9. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, with their most recent loss being a 8-0 defeat back in April.

Brentwood saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Riley Helton, who went 3-for-5 with three RBI and two doubles. The War Eagles are 2-1 when Helton posts three or more RBI, but 10-11 otherwise.

As for John Milledge Academy, their win bumped their record up to 19-8. Their offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last three games.

On John Milledge Academy's side, Cohen Brooks looked comfortable as he struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and only one walk).

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Bradyn Harrison, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April.

Coming up, Brentwood will take on Westminster Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for John Milledge Academy, they will face off against Trinity Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Trojans 3.7, the Crusaders 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
