Soccer Recap: Central Comes Up Short

Central fell victim to Torres and their airtight defense on Thursday. They came up short against the Toros, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1175th, while Torres are ranked 77th).

Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Torres, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central will host Roosevelt at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Torres, they will welcome Madera at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
