Newton barely beat St. Teresa the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles' defense stepped up to hand the Bulldogs a 4-0 shutout on Saturday. The result was nothing new for Newton, who have now won nine matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit St. Teresa with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Brock Anderson (2), Henry Will, and Luke Farley.

Newton pushed their record up to 13-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those five matches. As for St. Teresa, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9-1.

Coming up, Newton will head out to challenge Teutopolis at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Teresa, they will be playing at home against Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
