Basketball Recap: St. Bernard Comes Up Short

St. Bernard lost against St. Genevieve back in February of 2020 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The St. Bernard Vikings were dealt a 52-19 loss at the hands of the St. Genevieve Valiants. The Vikings were down 41-13 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

St. Bernard's loss came despite strong showings from Caylan Versher and Kylie Baird. Versher posted 11 points, while Baird earned seven points.

St. Bernard now has a losing record at 2-3. As for St. Genevieve, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-4.

St. Bernard has already played their next contest, a 47-12 defeat against Sacred Heart of Jesus on the 16th. As for St. Genevieve, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 41-31 win against Mary Star of the Sea on the 16th.
