Football Recap: Cimarron Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Cimarron unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They had to suffer through a 35-0 loss at the hands of the Scott Beavers. The loss continues a trend for the Bluejays in their meetings with the Beavers: they've now lost four in a row.

Cimarron didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as McCoy Nash, Christian Kennedy, and Ethan Sonday picked up one apiece.

Coming up, Cimarron is taking a road trip to square off against Holcomb at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Scott, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Wray at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
