Softball Recap: Pawnee Sets Scoring Season-High Against Mounds

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pawnee). They were the clear victors by a 17-2 margin over the Mounds Golden Eagles on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Black Bears needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Pawnee's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-6. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of five runs across that stretch. As for Mounds, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.

Pawnee wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 10-0 victory against Shidler on the 11th. As for Mounds, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 12-0 loss against Inola on the 11th.
