South Effingham had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it ten on Tuesday. They blew past the Statesboro Blue Devils 11-1. Considering the Mustangs have won seven matchups by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Cheniyah Jackson made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in October of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Alyssa Martin, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with one home run and three RBI. Justine Nevels was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.

South Effingham was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .394. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Statesboro only posted a batting average of .077.

South Effingham's victory bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Statesboro, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.

South Effingham will have a chance to go back-to-back against Statesboro: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
