Softball Recap: Stoutland's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

It was a good run, but Stoutland unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Weaubleau by a score of 6-5. Stoutland was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Weaubleau apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Emma Cornelison made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs. Another player making a difference was Mallory Shaw, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Stoutland's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Weaubleau, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Coming up, Stoutland will look to defend their home field on Monday against Norwood at 4:30 p.m. As for Weaubleau, they will face off against Dadeville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
