Softball Recap: Chandler Gets the Win

Chandler's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They came out on top against the Davenport Bulldogs by a score of 4-0.

Not much got past Kennedy Allen, who gave up just a hit and racked up 13 Ks to keep Davenport off the board. Allen has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Chandler's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Madison Cagle, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Rylee Capps was another, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Chandler's record is now 22-3. As for Davenport, their loss dropped their record down to 19-7.

Chandler didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 14-3 victory against Beggs on the 23rd. As for Davenport, they have also already played their next matchup, a 15-0 win against Olive on the 24th.
