Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Coosa). Everything went their way against Mt. Zion on Wednesday as Coosa made off with a 6-2 win. The high-scoring effort was just what Coosa needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Coosa now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Mt. Zion, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Coosa will face off against Fannin County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Mt. Zion, they will head out on the road to take on Douglas County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Mt. Zion has given up an average of 3.8 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.
