Football Recap: Taos Comes Up Short + How To Watch

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Taos and Los Alamos, and Los Alamos kept the tradition alive. The Tigers lost 42-19 to the Hilltoppers on Thursday. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hilltoppers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Jordan Herrera had a dynamite game For Los Alamos., rushing for 242 yards and four TDs while picking up 9.7 yards per carry, and also picking up 44 receiving yards. Another player making a difference was Hayden Watkins, who threw for 170 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Taos' loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Los Alamos, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Taos will face off against Highland at 6:00 p.m. on September 5. As for Los Alamos, they will take on Pojoaque Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
