Basketball Recap: Wednesday's Win Is Trinity's Eighth in Last Ten Outings

Trinity won the last time they faced Bishop McDevitt and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Trinity Shamrocks strolled past the Bishop McDevitt Crusaders with points to spare, taking the game 52-33. Given the Shamrocks' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 90th, while the Crusaders are ranked 254th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the loss, Bishop McDevitt still got an impressive performance from Leilah Horshaw, who went 6 of 14 en route to 12 points and four steals. Horshaw is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played.

Trinity has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.4 points per game. As for Bishop McDevitt, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 8-5 record.

Trinity has already played their next contest (against James Buchanan), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Bishop McDevitt is taking a road trip to take on Boiling Springs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Boiling Springs will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Bishop McDevitt surely won't give up without a fight.
