Who had Indiana's best individual performances? You vote, you decide. MaxPreps is proud to sponsor the Indiana Athlete of the Week awards during the 2023-24 school year.

~ Each week during the season (regular and post), there will be a fan-generated contest to tab weekly winners. 

~ Each winner receives a digital award patch for their MaxPreps player page. 

How does it work?

Nominees are selected from statistics submitted on MaxPreps. Coaches who do not have current access may request their free account here. Weekly finalists are released on MaxPreps every Tuesday and voting is conducted in a special poll. Voting ceases at noon on Mondays. The winners are announced the next day along with the next week's nominees.

Participants may vote as many times as they want. It's a competition. This past week, over 70,000 votes were cast! So far this season 6-million votes have been cast.

Week 30 Indiana High School Athletes of the Week

* Joe Chrapliwy, Glenn (Walkerton) Boys Basketball
Senior had 19 points, five rebounds, three steals and two assists in a 53-38 loss to South Bend St. Joseph. Averaged 14.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists.
 
* Trevor Daughtry, Wabash Boys Basketball
Senior had 16 points, five assists and four steals in a 50-46 win over Westview. Averaging 14.1 points, 3.4 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 2.1 steals. Has 1,206 career points.

* Evan Lawrence, Danville Boys Basketball
Senior had 16 points, 12 rebounds and three assists in a 61-39 win over Northview. Averaging 13.1 points and 11 rebounds. Has 1,651 career points and 611 rebounds.

Week 31-33 Indiana High School Athlete of the Week Nominees

* Keenan Garner and Jonanthony Hall, Fishers Boys Basketball
Tandem came up huge as the Tigers won the program’s first basketball state title with a 65-56 win over Ben Davis. It was the program’s first state final appearance since 1922. Gardner had 23 points and 10 rebounds, while Hall had 19 points and 10 rebounds. Gardner averaged 16.1 points, 8.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game, while Hall averaged 11.2 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists.
 
* Kinsey Clopton, Bloomington South Softball
Senior opened the season with 89 strikeouts in wins over Owen Valley, North Knox, Shakamak (no-hitter) and Columbus East and losses to Edgewood and Columbus East. Is 3-1 with a 0.60 ERA and three walks.
 
* Dillon Stewart, Tri-Township (LaCrosse) Baseball
Junior struck out 20 of the 26 batters he faced in a 6-1 win over Culver Community.
 
* John Parent, Fort Wayne Canterbury Boys Basketball
Senior had 22 points and 10 rebounds as the Cavaliers won the program’s first basketball state championship with a 48-41 win over Bethesda Christian in Class 1A.
 
* Ben Seitzinger, Mitchell Baseball
Senior struck out 16 in a 4-2 win over Linton-Stockton and 14 in a 10-0 win over Springs Valley.
 
*Jack Benter, Brownstown Central Boys Basketball
Senior and Purdue recruit had 25 points, six rebounds and four assists as the Braves won the program’s first basketball championship with a 55-36 win over Wapahani in Class 2A.
 
* Jack Miller, Scottsburg Boys Basketball
Senior dropped 32 points as the Warriors won the program’s first state title with a 67-57 victory over Saint Joseph in the Class 3A state championship.
 
*Hannah West, Mt. Vernon Softball
Senior went 3-for-4 with two HRs, three runs and three RBI in a 5-2 win over North Harrison and 2-for-3 with two HRs, five RBI and two runs in a 5-1 win over Boonville. Batting .462 with five HRs, 14 RBI, 12 runs and four doubles through seven games.

* Conner Burton, Winamac Boys Soccer
Senior dropped 25 points, including 12 goals, in wins over Delphi Community and Oregon-Davis and a loss to Glenn.
 
* Gavin Knight, Hammond Bishop Noll Football
Junior had three interceptions and seven tackles in a 30-18 win over South Bend Clay.

Week 2 Indiana High School Athletes of the Week

* Nate Luzadder, Frankton Football
Sophomore carried the ball 36 times for 179 yards and five TDs as the Eagles beat Lapel, 38-37, for the first time since 2012, snapping a 13-game losing streak in the series.
 
* Micah Foss, Greencastle Boys Soccer
Sophomore had five goals in a 9-0 win over Brown County and three goals in a 3-2 win over Crawfordsville. Also had a goal and assist in a 4-0 win over Indian Creek. His 17 goals and 36 points both rank No. 1 in the state.

Week 3 Indiana High School Athletes of the Week

* Sam Craig, Northwestern (Kokomo) Football
Junior carried the ball 25 times for 294 yards and three TDs in a 50-48 win over Benton Central. Also made seven tackles and had a forced fumble on defense.
 
* Caleb Delorenzo, Trinity (South Bend) Boys Soccer
Senior had two four-goal games in wins over New Prairie and Glenn (added two assists) and two goals and an assist in a win over Bremen. Also had two goals and an assist in a win over South Bend Riley for the undefeated Tians.
 
* Peyton Geer, Evansville Christian Girls Soccer
Sophomore had four goals and an assist in a 9-0 win over North Knox and back-to-back hat tricks (three goals each) in shutout wins over Evansville Harrison and Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran. Has 35 points (20 goals and three assists this season.

Week 4 Indiana High School Athletes of the Week

* Eli Quasebarth, North White (Monon) Football
Senior carried the ball 21 times for 308 yards and six TDs in a 56-30 win over Tri-County. Has carried the ball 77 times for 945 yards and 16 TDs this season.
 
* Jayden DeFalco, Indiana School for the Deaf (Indianapolis) Football
Senior completed 19-of-31 passes for 223 yards and six TDs and carried the ball nine times for 66 yards and two TDs in a 56-26 win over the Texas School for the Deaf. Has accounted for 22 TDs in four games.
 
* Kynnadi Bell, Yorktown Volleyball
Senior surpassed 1,000-career assists with 161 last week in wins over Mt. Vernon, Brownsburg and Carmel and a loss to Hamilton Southeastern.
 
* Nolan Kinsella , Munster Boys Soccer
Senior had four goals and an assist in a 9-0 win over Andrean and three goals in an 8-0 win over Merrillville. Has 24 goals and three assists this season.

Week 5 Indiana High School Athletes of the Week

* Coltyn McNabb, North Daviess (Elnora) Football
Junior carried the ball 15 times for 425 yards (28.3 yards per touch) and four TDs in a 56-28 win over Edinburgh. Has carried the ball 74 times for 874 yards (11.8 average) and nine TDs in five games.
 
* Emma Segal, Frontier (Chalmers) Volleyball
Senior had 40 kills in a five-set win over Faith Christian. Also had 25 and 17 kills in three-set wins over Twin Lakes and North Newton. Has 1,616 career kills.
 
* Carson Cheek, South Dearborn (Aurora) Football
Junior carried the ball 21 times for 204 yards and seven TDs in a 74-0 win over Greensburg.

Week 6 Indiana High School Athletes of the Week

* Maverick Geske, Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory (Indianapolis) Football
Junior completed 30-of-43 passes for 429 yards and five TDs in a 39-23 win over Roncalli. Has completed 111-of-178 passes for 1,541 yards and 18 TDs this season.
 
* Halle Archer, Switzerland County (Vevay) Girls Soccer
Senior went over 200 career points last week with 16 goals and two assists in wins over Southwestern, Austin, Shawe Memorial and Corydon Central. Currently has 213 career points (83 goals and 47 assists).
 
* Corbin Johnson, South Decatur (Greensburg) Football
Junior carried the ball 26 times for 375 yards and four TDs in a 27-13 win over Cloverdale. Has carried the ball 76 times for 1,119 yards and 18 TDs in six games.

Week 7 Indiana High School Athletes of the Week

* Ava Utterback, Plainfield Volleyball
Senior had 74 kills and 39 digs last week in wins over Carmel, Danville and Franklin Community. Has 1,146 career kills, 830 digs and 174 blocks.
 
* Nick Witte, Lapel Football
Senior caught 11 passes for 249 yards and a TD and had six tackles, a TFL and an interception in a 29-15 win over Heritage Christian. Has 53 receptions for 745 yards and seven TDs this season. Also has 39 tackles and three interceptions.
 
* Finn Gruver, Muncie Central Boys Soccer
Senior had four goals and an assist in a 9-0 win over Rushville and three goals in a 6-1 win over Delta. Has 56 points (24 goals and eight assists) this season.

Week 8 Indiana High School Athletes of the Week

* Kamden Pierce, Providence (Clarksville) Girls Soccer
Sophomore had seven assists and two goals in a 12-0 win over Austin. Has 22 goals and 22 assists (ranks 10th nationally) this season.
 
* Ben Rudolph, Ben Davis (Indianapolis) Football
Went 4-for-4 on field goals and 2-for-2 on PATs in a 26-23 win over Lawrence Central. Has hit 9-of-10 FGs and 38-of-40 PATs this season.
 
* Keliah Smith, Tipton Volleyball
Senior went over 1,000-career kills with  101 last week in wins over Rossville, Tri-Central, Maconaquah, Twin Lakes and Rochester and a loss to Western. Has 371 kills this season.

Week 9 Indiana High School Athletes of the Week

* Eli Moody, Mishawaka Marian Boys Soccer
Senior had three assists in a 3-0 win over West Noble in the 2A regional semifinals. Has 17 goals and 14 assists this season.
 
* Marco Castro, Kankakee Valley (Wheatfield) Football
Junior carried the ball 30 times for 320 yards and two TDs in a 28-24 loss to Munster. Also had 10 tackles. Has rushed for 1,378 yards and 15 TDs this season.

Week 10 Indiana High School Athletes of the Week

* Parker Maiers, Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory (Indianapolis) Football
Sophomore had 23 tackles (18 solo) and a blocked field goal in a 55-50 win over Northview. Has 115 tackles, 6.5 TFL and 2.5 sacks this season.
 
* Daniella Zvonar, Hammond Bishop Noll Volleyball
Junior had 42 and 37 digs in a loss to Northwood and a win over Mishawaka Marian in the regional final and semifinals, respectively Has 446 digs this season.

* Alex Antonopolous, North Central (Indianapolis) Boys Tennis
Senior finished the season undefeated (32-0) and won the IHSAA state singles title with a 6-2, 6-1 decision over Columbus North junior Hank Lin.

Week 11 Indiana High School Athletes of the Week

* Natalie Bollenbacher, Indianapolis Scecina Memorial Volleyball
Senior finished her career with 2,508 assists, including 1,127 this season (ranks second in state), with 50 in a 3-2 season-ending loss to Brownstown Central. 


* Eli Moody, Mishawaka Marian Boys Soccer
Senior scored all four goals in a 4-0 win over Evansville Memorial in the IHSAA 2A state final. His four goals are the most ever for any player in an IHSAA boys soccer state championship game, regardless of classification. His three second-half goals set a new 2A state finals team record for most goals in a half and most combined goals in a half. His four goals tied a 2A state finals team record for most goals, most combined goals and led to a tie for largest margin of victory. Moody is just the fourth player to record a hat trick in a state championship game, regardless of class, including the single-class era.

Week 12 Indiana High School Athletes of the Week

* Grace Drake, Southwood (Wabash) Volleyball
Junior had 15 assists, 12 digs, 10 kills and three blocks in a 3-1 win over No. 1 ranked Tecumseh in the IHSAA Class 1A state final.
 
* Aubrey Miller, Muncie Burris Volleyball
Senior had 16 kills, seven digs and a block as the Owls won their 23rd IHSAA volleyball state title with a 3-0 win over Brownstown Central in the 2A championship.
 
* Nolan Quaderer, Mississinewa (Gas City) Football
Senior went over 2,000 yards for the season by completing 10-of-18 passes for 264 yards and three TDs in a 31-24 win over Kokomo. Has thrown for 2220 yards and 29 TDs and rushed for 311 yards and six TDs this season for the undefeated Indians.

Week 13 Indiana High School Athletes of the Week

* Ava Ziolkowski, Crown Point Girls Basketball
Senior opened the season with 137 points, 47 rebounds and 23 steals in wins over Hobart, Hammond Bishop Noll and Hammond Central and a loss to Kankakee Valley. Averaging 34.3 points, 11.8 rebounds and 5.8 steals.
 
* Laniah Wills, Lapel Girls Basketball
Sophomore had 61 points, 41 rebounds and eight steals in wins over Anderson, Winchester Community and North Central.
 
* Aniah Smith, Avon Girls Basketball
Junior had 30 points, 18 steals, five assists and four rebounds in an 81-25 win over Terre Haute North Vigo.

Week 14-15 Indiana High School Athletes of the Week

* Uriah Buchanan, Fort Wayne Snider Football
Senior ran for 235 yards and two TDs (on runs of 80 and 95 yards) as the Panthers beat Decatur Central 33-6 in the Class 5A state final.
 
* Maya Makalusky, Hamilton Southeastern (Fishers) Girls Basketball
Averaging 28 ppg for the undefeated Roylas. Has scored 30-plus points four times this season, including 35 in a 69-57 win over Brownsburg.

Week 16 Indiana High School Athletes of the Week

* Mason Jolloff, Lakewood Park Christian (Auburn) Boys Basketball
Senior averaging 16.5 points, 11 rebounds, three blocks and 2.5 assists through four games. Had season-high 33 points in a 62-33 win over Hamilton and 16 rebounds in a 46-26 loss to Garrett.
 
* Maya Layton, Faith Christian (Lafayette) Girls Basketball
Sophomore dropped 45 points in a 66-54 win over Tri-Central and 23 in a 52-27 win over North Montgomery. Averaging 26.4 points, 5.6 rebounds and 5.1 steals and 2.9 assists.
 
* Gresh Warren, Mooresville Christian Boys Basketball
Junior had a triple-double (15 points, 11 steals, 10 rebounds and seven assists) in a 66-15 win over Seven Oaks Classical. Also had 39 points and 11 rebounds, four assists and three steals in a 72-62 win over Columbus Christian.
 
* Jermaine Bartlett, Hammond Academy of Science & Tech Boys Basketball
Senior dropped 33 points in a 67-50 loss to Highland and 31 points in a 65-50 loss to Victory Christian Academy. Also had 19 in 39-36 win over Lighthouse College Prep Academy. Averaging 23.2 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.3 steals.

Week 17 Indiana High School Athletes of the Week

* Da'Kori Parker, South Bend Washington Boys Basketball
Freshman had 18 points, 13 assists and six rebounds in a 68-65 win over LaPorte and 23 points, seven assists and five rebounds in a 77-72 win over South Bend Clay. Averaging 18.8 points, 7.8 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 3.7 steals. 

* Camryn Runner, Hamilton Heights (Arcadia) Girls Basketball
Senior had 39 points, eight rebounds, six steals and three assists in a 72-29 win over Northwestern. Also had 28 points seven rebounds, six assists and four steals. Averaging 26.6 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.2 steals.

Week 18-20 Indiana High School Athletes of the Week

* Matthew Roettger, Peru Boys Basketball
Senior had 45 points, 13 rebounds, six assists and six steals in an 88-83 loss to Maconaquah. Also had 20 points, 10 steals, six assists and five rebounds in a 93-61 win over North Miami. Averaging 20.9 points, 10 rebounds, 4.1 steals and 3.9 assists.
 
* Carter Kent, Jennings County (North Vernon) Boys Basketball
Junior had 155 points, 30 assists, 26 rebounds and 12 steals in wins over Connersville and Greenwood Christian Academy and losses to Greenwood, Newport, Lawrenceburg and New Palestine. Averaging 22 points, 5.3 assists and 4.2 rebounds.

Week 21 Indiana High School Athletes of the Week

* Grady Carpenter, Tipton Boys Basketball
Junior had a triple-double (21 points, 15 assists and 10 rebounds) in a 91-74 win over Maconaquah. His 9.2 assists per game rank No. 1 in the state and ninth nationally.  
 
* Shea Hollendonner, Centerville Boys Basketball
Sophomore had 41 points, five rebounds and five steals in an 83-45 win over Cambridge City Lincoln. Also had 15 points and nine rebounds in a 49-42 win over Northeastern. Averaging 23.6 points and 5.5 rebounds.
 
* Meredith Deaton, West Washington (Campbellsburg) Girls Basketball
Sophomore had 39 points and 14 rebounds in an 83-79 loss to Trinity Lutheran. Averaging 15.8 points and 6.6 rebounds.

Week 22 Indiana High School Athletes of the Week

* Jack Rodgers, Culver Community Boys Basketball
Senior had 39 points, 12 rebounds, seven assists and four steals in a 78-56 win over Community Baptist Christian. Averaging 24 points, 7.6 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 4.2 steals.
 
* Jacob Riley, North Miami (Denver) Boys Basketball
Junior had 29 points, 14 rebounds, five steals and two assists in a 59-57 win over Northfield. Also had 27 points and five rebounds in a 60-44 loss to Argos. Averaging 18 points and 6.4 rebounds.

Week 23 Indiana High School Athletes of the Week

* Grant Ford, Wabash Boys Basketball
Senior hit three 3s (and scored 23 points) in a 70-26 win over North Miami to become the program’s all-time leading 3-point shooter with 187 (surpassing 1989 grad Marc Slaton). Is currently at 189 and counting.
 
* Philip Randolph , International (Indianapolis) Boys Basketball
Senior had 40 points, six steals and four blocks in a 79-39 win over Believe Circle City. His 31.8 points per game ranks 26th nationally. Also averaging 7.3 rebounds, 5.3 steals and 5.1 assists.
 
* Molly Schulte, South Spencer (Rockport) Girls Basketball
Senior had a triple-double 13 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists in a 57-21 win over Tell City. Also had 27 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds in a 67-56 win over Forest Park. Averaging 15.6 points, 6.1 assists, 4.3 rebounds and 3.1 steals.

Week 24 Indiana High School Athletes of the Week

* Kenzie Garner, Sheridan Girls Basketball
Junior had a triple-double (11 points, 16 rebounds and 17 assists) in a 79-24 win over Taylor. Also surpassed 1,000-career points with 25 points, 12 rebounds, seven blocks, six steals and three assists in a 52-37 win over Southmont. Averaging 20 points, 9.5 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 4.2 steals.
 
* Isaac Andrews, Wapahani (Selma) Boys Basketball
Senior had 43 points, 11 rebounds, four assists and three steals in an 88-26 win over Randolph Southern. Closing in on 2,000-career points (has 1,852). Averaging 25.4 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3.3 assists.
 
* Taylor Cotham, Tindley (Indianapolis) Girls Basketball
Sophomore had a back-to-back triple-double (18 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists in a 67-12 win over Riverside) and quadruple-double (12 points, 18 rebounds, 10 assists and 10 steals in a 62-20 win over Phalen Leadership Academy). Averaging 20.5 points, 8.1 rebounds, 4.0 steals and 2.7 assists.

Week 25 Indiana High School Athletes of the Week

* Kaden Greenlee, Columbus HomeSchool Boys Basketball
Junior had 36 points, five assists and four rebounds in an 87-84 win over Indianapolis HomeSchool and 34 points five steals, four rebounds and four assists in a 76-65 win over Phalen Leadership Academy. Averaging 21.1 points, 5.8 assists and 4.3 rebounds.
 
* Sophia Morrison, Eastbrook (Marion) Girls Basketball
Senior had 77 points and 15 steals in wins over Elwood, Blackford and Madison-Grant. Averaging 19.5 points, 3.4 assists and 3.4 steals. Her 87 made 3s rank second in Indiana.

Week 26 Indiana High School Athletes of the Week

* Lily Christianson, Penn (Mishawaka) Girls Swimming
Senior and North Carolina State recruit won her third title in the 50 free and set a state record with her time of 0:21.72 at the IHSAA Swim & Dive State Championship.
 
* Amelia Rinehart, Fort Wayne Snider Girls Swimming
Scored 513.40 points to win the diving state title at the IHSAA Swim & Dive State Championship.

Week 27 Indiana High School Athletes of the Week

* Jake Hockaday and Revin Dickman, Brownsburg Wrestling
Teammates became multi-state title winners at the IHSAA Wrestling State Finals en route to leading Brownsburg to the IHSAA state wrestling title. Hockaday, a junior, won his third straight championship (132 pounds) after winning the 106 title in 2022 and 120 crown in 2023. Dickman, a sophomore, was state champion at 106 last year and won the 116 title this season..
 
* Charlie LaRocca, Center Grove (Greenwood) Wrestling
Senior won the 120-pound championship at the IHSAA Wrestling State Finals for his second state title after winning the 113 crown in 2023.

Week 28 Indiana High School Athletes of the Week

* Shelby Allen, Lanesville Girls Basketball
Junior had 20 points and seven rebounds in a 51-43 win over Marquette Catholic in the IHSAA Class 1A state final.
 
* Jaylah Lampley, Lawrence Central (Indianapolis) Girls Basketball
Junior had 19 points and nine rebounds in a 55-28 IHSAA Class 4A state final win over lake Central.

* Chloey Graham, Gibson Southern (Fort Branch) Girls Basketball
Senior tied the all-division state finals record with six made 3s in a 63-60 win over Norwell in the IHSAA Class 2A state final. Finished the game with 22 points.

Week 29 Indiana High School Athletes of the Week

* Aiden Hibbard, Elkhart Christian Academy Basketball
Senior had 41 points, 13 rebounds and five assists in a 59-36 win over Bethany Christian. Also had 74 points, 21 rebounds16 assists and 17 steals in  wins over Argos, Lakeland Christian Academy and Lakewood Park Christian. Averaging 22.6 points, 6.6 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 3.9 steals.
 
* Kaden Muckerheide, North Decatur (Greensburg) Basketball
Senior had 26 points, nine rebounds and six assists in a 62-57 win over Milan and 33 points and five rebounds in a 52-48 loss to Switzerland County. Averaged 20.6 points, 6.7 assists and 4.4 rebounds.
