Recap: Burroughs Bears vs. Glendale Nitros
The Burroughs Bears put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Glendale 58-26 at home. The result was nothing new for Burroughs, who have now won four games by 21 points or more so far this season.
Burroughs found their leader in underclassman Claire Hackney, who scored 21 points. Mariam Fahs was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 4 steals.
Burroughs' win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Glendale, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-3 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Burroughs will take on Arcadia at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. Arcadia will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 696th, while Burroughs is ranked 168th). As for Glendale, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Burbank at 5:15 p.m.
