Baseball Recap: Dieterich Triumphs

Dieterich won the last time they faced Odin/Patoka/Sandoval and things went their way on Monday too. The Movin Maroons walked away with a 10-7 victory over the Eagles. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Movin Maroons.

Mason Lidy made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over 4.1 innings pitched. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs.

In other batting news, Bryce Bohnhoff was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with four RBI and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Andrew Hall, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Dieterich was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Dieterich's win bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Odin/Patoka/Sandoval, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Dieterich will take on Brownstown/St. Elmo at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Odin/Patoka/Sandoval, they will challenge Wayne City at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles are facing the Indians at the right time seeing as the Indians are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
