Soccer Recap: Griffin Takes a Loss

Griffin's game on Friday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They came up short against the Northside Patriots, falling 3-0. The Bears were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2022.

Griffin has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. The victory (which was Northside's third in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Looking ahead, Griffin will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Starr's Mill at 8:00 p.m. As for Northside, they will venture away from home to square off against Harris County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Harris County's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
