Baseball Game Preview: Jackson Red Devils vs. Pike County Pirates

Jackson hasn't had much luck against Pike County recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Red Devils will head out to take on the Pirates at 6:00 p.m. Jackson will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

On Saturday, Jackson beat Jasper County 8-3.

Pike County came out on top against Callaway on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run second inning. The Pirates put the hurt on the Cavaliers with a sharp 12-1 victory. Considering the Pirates have won four matchups by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Pike County's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-8. As for Jackson, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Everything went Jackson's way against Pike County in their previous matchup back in March of 2025, as Jackson made off with a 9-2 victory. Do the Red Devils have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Pirates turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
