Baseball Recap: Howard Takes a Loss

Howard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 16-13 to the Academy of Richmond County Musketeers.

VICTOR PINKNEY was cooking despite his team's loss, going 4-for-5 with four stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in runs. JAYDEN REESE also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Howard's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Academy of Richmond County, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Howard will face off against Rutland at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Howard has given up an average of 15.4 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Academy of Richmond County, they will square off against Howard at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
