Soccer Game Preview: Columbus vs. Alburnett

The Columbus Sailors will take on the Alburnett Pirates at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Columbus and Hudson meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The Sailors came up short against the Pirates, falling 5-0. The defeat continues a trend for Columbus in their meetings with Hudson: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, Alburnett kicked off their season on Tuesday but they'll have to wait until their next game for a more definitive result. They and Clayton-Ridge finished up their contest with a 0-0 draw.
