Soccer Game Preview: Howard vs. West Laurens

Howard is 2-8 against West Laurens since March of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Howard Huskies will be playing at home against the West Laurens Raiders at 7:00 p.m. Howard has given up an average of 4.7 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.

Howard is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten goals on Monday, they were much more limited against Academy of Richmond County on Thursday. They lost 5-0 to the Musketeers. While losing is never fun, the Huskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 292nd, while the Musketeers are ranked 70th).

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last game, West Laurens made sure to put some goals up on the board against Westside on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Patriots as they made off with a 6-1 win. The Raiders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by five goals or more this season.

Howard now has a losing record of 5-6. As for West Laurens, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1.
