Football Recap: Dynamic Duo of Kyle Fulton Jr and Joseph Mesa Lead Paraclete to Victory

Paraclete entered their tilt with St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 38-29 victory over the Warriors. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Spirits also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Paraclete was led to victory by Joseph Mesa and Kyle Fulton Jr. Mesa threw for 268 yards and four TDs, while Fulton Jr gained 138 total yards and a touchdown.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Paraclete's defense and their seven sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Daniel Adeduro and Austin Robinson, who racked up four sacks between them. Robinson has been hot recently, having posted at least one sack the last three times he's played.

Paraclete's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Paraclete will square off against rival Cathedral at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Mesa and Jaden Jefferson. Meanwhile, St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy is set to face off against their familiar foe St. Paul at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
