Basketball Recap: Tri-City Christian Comes Up Short

Tri-City Christian and Crawford squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Tri-City Christian had to settle for second. They fell 46-33 to the Crawford Colts.

Despite the loss, Tri-City Christian still got an impressive performance from Katie Busch, who dropped a double-double with 26 points and 18 rebounds. That's the most boards Busch has posted since back in January of 2024.

Fatuma Abdi continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Crawford, putting up 23 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Abdi has scored at least a third of Crawford's points. Samitioata Fidow was another key player, scoring 11 points and five rebounds.

Tri-City Christian's loss dropped their record down to 17-5. As for Crawford, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-14 record this season.

Tri-City Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Crawford, they will venture away from home to square off against Brawley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Brawley will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something Crawford surely won't give up without a fight.
