Northwestern's game  last Thursday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Clinton Central Bulldogs by a score of  3-1. The  win was a breath of fresh air for the Tigers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
 Northwestern had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-19, 25-14,  25-17.
 Ayla Jackson paced Northwestern's offense, picking up 11 kills. Jackson got some help from  Nahla Smith and her 26 assists. Smith was also solid from the service line:  she led the team with seven aces.
The  victory was their first  at home , bumping their record up to 3-6. As for Clinton Central,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 2-4.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northwestern will face off against Whitko at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Clinton Central, they will take on Carroll at 7:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
