The Dunwoody Wildcats will venture away from home to square off against the Chamblee Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Dunwoody has four straight victories, Chamblee has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Monday, Dunwoody got the win against Tri-Cities by a conclusive 14-2. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 contests by nine runs or more this season.
Anslie Worley made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. Worley was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Dunwoody got a massive performance out of Kaz McLoughlin, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. That's the most runs McLoughlin has posted since September 3rd. Brooke Parkes was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Dunwoody hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in 14 consecutive matchups.
Southwest DeKalb hit Chamblee with a nine-run fifth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bulldogs lost 11-3 to the Panthers. Bulldogs fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Panthers since Monday.
Madison Jones made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run.
Chamblee now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Dunwoody, their record now sits at 16-4.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Dunwoody hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .392. However, it's not like Chamblee struggles in that department as they've averaged .333. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Dunwoody skirted past Chamblee 7-5 when the teams last played on September 4th. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
