Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Lyrics Thompson and Ja'niya Zamora Lead Cajon to Victory

Cajon's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with a 50-38 victory over the Temescal Canyon Titans.

Leading Cajon to victory were Ja'Niya Zamora and Lyrics Thompson. Zamora posted 14 points and seven steals, while Thompson had 16 points along with six boards and six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Eunaysia Nolley, who scored seven points and five rebounds.

Sarai Kamweru and Adi Gasio certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Kamweru almost dropped a double-double with 23 points and nine boards, while Gasio almost dropped a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds. The game was Kamweru's fourth in a row with at least 22 points.

The win got Cajon back to even at 1-1. As for Temescal Canyon, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Cajon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 39-33 defeat against Whitney on the 19th. As for Temescal Canyon, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 73-42 loss against Los Altos on the 19th.
