Baseball Recap: Lithia Springs Comes Up Short

Lithia Springs fell victim to Villa Rica and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Villa Rica Wildcats, falling 10-0. If the Lions were looking for revenge after losing 18-0 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Lithia Springs got a good showing from Elias Pearson, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Pearson has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

Lithia Springs dropped their record down to 3-7 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Villa Rica, the win (which was their 16th in a row) raised their record to 16-1.

While Lithia Springs had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:55 p.m. on Friday.
