For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Fowler and Lamar meet (seven straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Saturday. The Grizzlies fell 3-1 to the Thunder. The loss continues a trend for the Grizzlies in their meetings with the Thunder: they've now lost nine in a row.

Fowler was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Lamar work for it, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 27-25, 21-25, 25-15.

Fowler lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Izzy Pharr, who had 11 digs and two aces.

Fowler's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Lamar, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-3.

Coming up, Fowler will be playing at home against Rye at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lamar, they will square off against La Junta at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
