Soccer Recap: Central Catholic Comes Up Short

Central Catholic lost against Enochs last Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Central Catholic Raiders fell just short of the Enochs Eagles by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 462nd, while the Eagles are ranked 44th).

Central Catholic's goal came courtesy of Avery Jones, which was the first she's scored this season.

Central Catholic is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4. As for Enochs, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Central Catholic wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against Downey on the 16th. As for Enochs, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-0 victory against Franklin on the 14th.
