Recap: Delphi Community Oracles vs. Lewis Cass Kings
The Delphi Community Oracles lost against the Lewis Cass Kings back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Delphi Community fell 36-27 to Lewis Cass. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Delphi Community has scored all season.
Delphi Community's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jenna Roth, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals, and Maddy Brown who scored four points. The matchup was Roth's ninth in a row with at least ten points.
Lewis Cass was led to victory by Aftin Griffin and Heta Kosunen. Griffin scored 11 points along with four steals, while Kosunen scored six points along with ten rebounds and five steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Griffin has scored at least 25% of Lewis Cass' points. Kinsey Mennen was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
Delphi Community has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season. As for Lewis Cass, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Delphi Community will play host again and welcome Taylor, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Taylor is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. Lewis Cass will be home for the holidays to greet Whitko at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Whitko's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six games.
