Preview: Bullard Knights vs. Bakersfield Christian Eagles
The Bullard Knights will square off against the Bakersfield Christian Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Bullard is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Bakersfield Christian in California (Bullard is ranked 27th, while Bakersfield Christian is ranked 298th).
Bullard unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak last Tuesday. They took a serious blow against Clovis West, falling 77-29.
Meanwhile, Bakersfield Christian humbled Hanford with a 73-42 victory. The win was just what Bakersfield Christian needed coming off of a 76-37 defeat in their prior match.
Bakersfield Christian's win on Monday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ava King , who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 15 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Sara Shein , who scored 20 points along with 7 rebounds.
Their wins bumped Bullard to 3-1 and Clovis West to 4-1.
Bullard came up short against Bakersfield Christian when the teams last played back in February, falling 75-69. Can Bullard avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
