Softball Recap: Elkhorn South Takes a Loss

Elkhorn South made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Papillion-LaVista South, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Storm fell just short of the Titans by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. The Storm have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lauren Schneider spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on nine hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Elkhorn South saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Macy Schneider, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Elkhorn South's record now sits at 18-10. As for Papillion-LaVista South, they now have a winning record of 13-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Elkhorn South will face off against Elkhorn North at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Papillion-LaVista South, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Omaha South.
