Union County came tearing into Tuesday's game with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the North Murray Mountaineers 14-12. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 on Tuesday.

Union County's win bumped their record up to 12-6. As for North Murray, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-12.

Looking ahead, Union County will face off against Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.44 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for North Murray, they will square off against Rockmart at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The last four games the Yellowjackets have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
