Mary Persons dropped down to 5-4 on Wednesday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Academy for Classical Education Gryphons by a score of 3-2. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Bulldogs couldn't push the score so high this time.

As for Academy for Classical Education, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since October 24, 2024.

For Academy for Classical Education's part, Ella Allen spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits.
