Baseball Recap: Fowler Comes Up Short

If Fowler was feeling good fresh off their 10-2 takedown of New Lothrop on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles came up short against the Marshall Redhawks on Thursday, falling 14-1.

Fowler saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Beckett Hansen, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.

Fowler's defeat dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Marshall, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Looking ahead, Fowler will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Ovid-Elsie at 4:00 p.m. As for Marshall, they will head out to square off against Williamston at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hornets' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Redhawks' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
