Softball Recap: Spalding Has No Trouble Against Riverdale

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Troup County, Spalding was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They blew past the Riverdale Raiders 18-0. That looming 18-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Jaguars yet this season.

The team relied heavily on Macie Robertson, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three stolen bases, and three runs. Marleigh Smith also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.

Spalding always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .926. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory snapped Spalding's losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 13-13 record. As for Riverdale, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-10.

Spalding does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Riverdale, they will challenge McDonough at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
