Baseball Recap: Davison Comes Up Short

Davison dropped down to 11-11 on Monday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 13-3 to the Dow Chargers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Cardinals have suffered since May 24, 2025.

Davison saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braylon Green, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Green has become a key player for the Cardinals: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 7-10 otherwise.

As for Dow, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-5-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games.

On Dow's side, Keegan Malley was excellent, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run.

While Davison had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
