Basketball Game Preview: Pine-Richland Rams vs. Blackhawk Cougars

The Pine-Richland Rams will challenge the Blackhawk Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Pine-Richland has struggled recently with five defeats in a row, while Blackhawk will arrive with four straight victories.

Pine-Richland is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They fell to Chartiers Valley 51-46.

Despite the loss, Pine-Richland got top-tier performance from Catherine Gentile, who posted 26 points and eight boards. The dominant performance gave Gentile a new career-high in points. Rebekah Shaffer was another key player, putting up eight points and nine rebounds.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Blackhawk challenged Beaver on Thursday. Blackhawk enjoyed a cozy 59-44 win over Beaver.

Pine-Richland's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Blackhawk, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
