Soccer Recap: Weston Ranch Triumphs

Weston Ranch hadn't done well against Edison recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Weston Ranch Cougars walked away with a 2-0 win over the Edison Vikings. This was a revenge game for the Cougars: when they faced off against the Vikings back in January, they had to take a 3-0 loss.

Vanessa Beltran was the driving force of Weston Ranch's attack as she scored both of Weston Ranch's goals, bringing her season total up to 14 goals.

Weston Ranch's victory bumped their record up to 8-9-1. As for Edison, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9-2.

Weston Ranch wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Chavez on the 4th. As for Edison, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against McNair on the 4th.
