Volleyball Recap: Eagle River Comes Up Short in High-Profile Match with Chugiak + How To Watch

Eagle River faced Chugiak in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Wolves fell 3-1 to the Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-0 loss back in August.

The final score came out to 25-19, 19-25, 25-12, 25-17.

This is the second loss in a row for Eagle River and nudges their season record down to 31-13-1. As for Chugiak, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 21-10.

Eagle River has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Bettye Davis East Anchorage on the 17th. As for Chugiak, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Bartlett on the 17th.
